How the Stiller Alarm Mobile App works – simple explanation
With the Stiller Alarm Mobile App, you can quickly and discreetly call for help during threats or emergencies using your mobile device — either directly on the device or even more discreetly via an external Bluetooth button.
The app works both indoors and in the field using GPS location. You have two alert options: trigger an alert immediately with “Active Alarm” or schedule it via “Passive Alarm.” Recipients receive all relevant information in real time, enabling them to respond instantly.
The app can be used standalone or combined with the desktop solution, providing security even on a limited budget.

What types of alerts can be triggered via the Stiller Alarm App?
Stiller Alarm App – Active Alarm
The active alarm is triggered during an immediate threat with a simple “push of a button” (via the app or a Bluetooth button), for example, in hallways or waiting areas. A predefined group of recipients immediately receives a notification containing all essential information: name, time of the alarm, location, and optionally, a custom text message.

Stiller Alarm App – Passive Alarm
The passive alarm allows you to set up an alert in advance, for example before an off-site appointment. You define the message content and the time window. If the alarm is not deactivated within the set time frame, it will automatically trigger when the time expires.

Step 1: Open the Stiller Alarm App.
Step 2: Trigger the alarm with a single click.
Step 3: The alarm is sent. Within the app, you can see who has acknowledged the alarm and who is coming to help. In case of a false alarm or after de-escalation, the alarm can be canceled.
Alarm Recipients
Step 1: The alarm reaches recipients immediately.
Step 2: Recipients can view details about the sender’s location and respond immediately according to your internal protocols.
Step 3: Recipients can see in the app which colleagues in the alarm group have already responded.
Passive Alarm

Step 1: Start the passive alarm by pressing the passive alarm button.
Step 2: Define the passive alarm. Set the time window until the alert is triggered and, if desired, add a message to be sent to the recipients.
Step 3: Activate the passive alarm.
Step 4: A timer shows when the passive alarm will be sent. You can stop or edit it at any time.
Alarm Recipients
Step 1: The alarm is received by the recipients. If the alarm is not canceled before the end of the set time, it is automatically sent to the recipients at the scheduled time.
Step 2: Recipients receive all necessary information to take action. The alarm can be acknowledged to indicate that help is on the way.

Our Solutions for Your Safety
The Stiller Alarm Mobile App Only provides safety for you and your employees away from stationary PC workstations. The app is especially suitable as a standalone solution without the stationary alarm system if you and your staff mainly work in the field or in environments without PC workstations.
Alarm recipients receive active or passive alerts in real time, including all essential information about the exact location. The acknowledgment function optimally supports your internal emergency response process.
With the active alarm, help can be requested instantly with a single tap in the app or via an alarm button. Recipients immediately receive the sender’s information (name, phone number, and location).
The passive alarm allows you to schedule an alert in advance (for example, before a home visit). You can store the name of the person you are visiting, the exact address, and additional details (such as the floor). In an emergency, this information is transmitted to the recipients together with your name and phone number.
If the alarm is not canceled before the defined time expires, it is automatically sent — even if the phone is destroyed, the battery is empty, or there is no reception.

Purchase and operation are cost-effective. The software can generally be used without additional hardware. If you would like to use the indoor positioning feature, the rooms must first be equipped with specially configured iBeacon transmitters. iBeacon transmitters are small, inexpensive, and completely wireless. No structural modifications are required.
The Stiller Alarm Mobile App has only minimal impact on your smartphone battery.
The Stiller Alarm Mobile App is operated entirely in German data centers via STRATO. This means the data is stored exclusively in Germany. STRATO is certified according to DIN ISO/IEC 27001 and therefore offers a high level of security.

Alerts are sent via instant push notifications using Google Cloud Messaging (for Android devices) or the Apple Push Notification Service (for iOS devices)
To use the Stiller Alarm App, download the licensed app to the respective smartphone (Android or iPhone) and then complete the installation. The user enters their name and sets a password. In the Stiller Alarm Portal, the administrator defines which alarm group the user belongs to — i.e., which employees should be alerted in an emergency.
This ensures that all important information is available at a glance and that a quick response is possible. If the employee who triggered the alarm is outside the office (e.g., at a customer appointment), you can immediately call the person and, if necessary, view their exact location via Google Maps. The alarm can be acknowledged/confirmed in the app by an employee so that other recipients can see that someone is already on the way or providing assistance.

When an alarm is triggered, the notified recipients receive the following information:
- First and last name
- Phone number (direct line)
- Location of the alarm (displayed precisely in Google Maps)
- Time of the alarm
- Acknowledgement function
- Distance to the person who triggered the alarm (in km)

iBeacons
If you would like to use the app for indoor location tracking, so-called iBeacons are required. These have a unique identification number, making it possible to distinguish whose proximity someone is in. This allows you to quickly and reliably determine where an alarm was sent from. The setup of such iBeacons should be carried out individually.
